Beijing Zhaolong International Youth Hostel (not to be confused with Beijing Zhaolong Hotel) offers clean, cheap accommodation in Beijing’s Chaoyang District. The hostel is very close to Chaoyang Park, one of Beijing’s biggest, and Sanlitun bar area is a five minute walk away. There’s also reasonable shopping to be had in this area, -Sanlitun’s Yashow Market for cheap fake brands, and Pacific Century Palace near the other end of the spectrum.

Zhaolong Hostel has beds in 6-4 bed dorms as well as single or double rooms, the cheapest being a bed in the 6 person dorms at a mere 60Y (around 8US$), breakfast not included. There are lockers in the rooms and the hostel has an entertainment room. Zhaolong Hostel also organises tours for guests. Staff speak good English. Hot water is 24hours and there is no curfew, airport pickup can be arranged.

Beijing Zhaolong International Youth hostel is a member of Hostelling International (the international youth hostel association) so members get a discount.
