The somewhat ironically named Beijing Saga International Youth Hostel is a Hostelling International hostel offering clean budget accommodation in central Beijing. Facilities are quite adequate, service is good and the staff speak reasonable English. The hostel is twenty minutes walk from Beijing Railway Station; the Forbidden City, Wangfujing and Tiananmen Square are all a short car journey away.
The Beijing Saga International Youth Hostel building itself is functional more than charming, but the surrounding area is a very typical Beijing hutong. A free breakfast is involved in the price
Beijing Saga International Youth hostel is a member of Hostelling International (the international youth hostel association) so members get a discount.
The entrance to the hostel itself is not particularly well signed, but you can recognise it from the blue Hostelling International sign on the roof.
